Fountain of Senvagė

We invite you to spice up your summer weekend evenings with an exceptional spectacle - the evening performance of the Senvagė fountain!

This summer, residents and guests of the city will be delighted by director Linarts Urniežius' impressive creative interpretation of the change in the environment around us throughout the history of mankind. The theme of the film is past, present and future. Through video projections, the story of the piece is revealed through dance and movement, depicting the relationship between people and the environment around them. From the primitive people and their relationship with nature, the discovery of fire, the development of civilization, the development of culture, the achievements of mankind, industrialization are shown. Recognizable images of the city of Panevėžys are also used, which were created with the help of artificial intelligence by interpreting historical photos. The theme of the future is revealed through digitization and robotization processes that are already taking place in the world. The author speculates on possible future scenarios, showing the challenges and opportunities of space travel, artificial intelligence and new technologies.

Senvagė offers two programs: one during the day and another in the evening.

The daytime fountain program runs from Monday to Thursday and Sundays from 10 AM to 10 PM. On weekends (Fridays and Saturdays), it runs from 10 AM to 11:30 PM.

The evening fountain program with projections is currently unavailable. Since the light interferes with displaying the images created by the Senvagė fountain projections, the evening water musical performances on Fridays and Saturdays will not occur now. You can enjoy the unique Senvagė fountain performance program again once the summer night timings change slightly. We will inform the residents of Panevėžys and city visitors in advance about this.

During the cold season, only the daytime program operates in the fountain. Don't miss the opportunity!
