The Oldest City’s Building

The city’s oldest masonry building in Kranto Street belongs to the local lore museum. The building is the former archive of Upytė State Court, built in 1614. It is the oldest remained archive building in Lithuania. There is a historical exhibition – „Noblemen of Upytė“ introducing visitors to Panevėžys mansions‘ history including the story of a famous Upyte mansion‘s cursed landlord Čičinskas.
